Abstract

This article presents Conqueries, an agent that assists users during their searches on search engines. The system recommends terms and modifiers to users so that they can reformulate their queries. The system unobtrusively learns the user's current needs in order to propose personalized lists of keywords. The article presents the design and the architecture of Conqueries which has been implemented and describes the current version which has been used for almost a year. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2005.
