Abstract

The Object-Oriented Hypermedia Design Method (OOHDM) (Schwabe and Rossi, 1998) is a model-based approach to develop Web applications. It allows the designer to specify a Web application, seen as an instance of a hypermedia model, through the use of several specialized meta-models. Each model focuses on different aspects of the application. Once these models have been specified for a given application, it is possible to generate runtime code that implements the application. The examples shown in this chapter use the HyperDE environment (Nunes and Schwabe, 2006) for this.
