Abstract

At present, construction of a rural scene must rely on professional and technical personnel and professional three-dimensional mapping software. Therefore, it needs a great deal time, energy and devotion to construct a complicated scene. This paper builds a rural scene component library with rural new properties, and gets real-time external terrain data with rural mapping assistant equipment. It can build a rural three-dimensional scene graph quickly through an interactive way and using an organization technique of resource list-style. According to experimental results, comparing to the traditional modeling software, this method in this paper is out standing for its simple functions, friendly interaction, short development cycle and favorable commonality. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
