This paper presents caregivers and mothers’ attitudes and behavior probability, as eported by the participants, regarding family-caregiver partnership during infants’ transition from home to childcare. Mothers and caregivers of 90 infants answered the Caregiver-Parent Partnership Scale. Results show that both parents and caregivers strongly value family-caregiver partnership aimed at meeting children’s needs, and they both report high probability of engaging in partnership-related behaviors. Mothers reported relatively more positive attitudes and higher probability of occurrence of behaviors that contribute to parent-caregiver partnership. Results show positive associations between mothers’ and caregivers’ attitudes, and between mothers’ attitudes and home environment quality. Negative associations were found between caregivers’ age and experience in childcare contexts and their attitudes and probability of engaging in partnership-related behaviors. Discussion highlights the need for more and better caregiver training and more initiatives to improve childcare quality, aiming to promote more effective parent-caregiver partnerships.
