Abstract

(from the chapter) Articulates the behavioral model of abnormal psychology. The author argues that all psychological development entails learning and memory and that divergent models differ only in the way they understand learning and memory. The author shows how recent developments in learning and memory, referred to as Neural Network Learning Theory, promise to unify the behavioral and cognitive models of learning and memory and provide a unified theoretical understanding of abnormal psychology.
