Abstract

The traditional spike-triggered average method is always used to calculate the receptive fields. According to the improved spike-triggered average method, we calculated the receptive fields of ganglion cells in the bullfrog retina. The results showed that the receptive fields have dynamic spatiotemporal structure, both the response delay in the time domain and the receptive field size in the space domain possess the time-variant properties.
