Abstract

Image registration is considered as one of the most fundamental and crucial pre-processing task in image processing applications. It needs visual information from multiple images for comparison, integration or analysis. In this paper we present an extension of fast Fourier transform based image registration scheme. We have tested the proposed scheme with a number of selected images and found that the results are much better when compared to normal FFT method. The time complexity of our proposed method is of same order of the FFT based method [2]. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
