Abstract

Several new 3-aminopyrrole derivatives have been synthesized from 3-substituted amino-2-phenylacrylonitriles using Thorpe-Ziegler cyclization. These substituted pyrroles are readily converted into 5H-pyrrolo[3,2-d] pyrimidines (9-deazapurines). © 2008 Verlag der Zeitschrift für Naturforschung, Tübingen.
