Abstract

As discussed in the previous chapters, 3D bioprinting has been definitely under the spotlight to build up complex in vitro tissue/organ models. Parallel to these technical advances, decellularized extracellular matrix (dECM) has emerged as a well-qualified bioink source for recapitulating in vivo-like microenvironment. Taken these considerations together, this chapter introduces various applications (skin, blood vessels, liver, kidney, heart, airway, cornea, and skeletal muscle) of 3D bioprinted tissues/organs particularly focusing on dECM bioinks. In addition, in this chapter, the structural and physiological features are described for providing the better understanding in replicating target tissues/organs at in vitro state.
