Abstract

Responds to the commentary by A. J. Walker and L. A. McGraw (see record 2000-15724-020) regarding the original article by W. J. Doherty et al (see record 1998-02809-001) proposing a conceptual framework for responsible fathering. Doherty et al dispute the assertion of Walker and McGraw that they do not hold fathers responsible for their own involvement and thereby disproportionately place responsibility on mothers.
