Abstract

This paper outlines the increasingly important role of regions in Knowledge Transfer. Drawing on experiences from two ICT projects involving Digital Ecosystems, it explores why the regions are the best catalyst for knowledge transfer and suggests methodologies for the development of effective ICT strategies for regional economic development. © Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2010.
