Abstract

Dialysis, which is the treatment of end stage renal disease, is associated with poor quality and quantity of life. On the other hand, kidney transplant recipients enjoy better quality and quantity of life. However, the limited organ supply is the main hurdle. Kidney transplant recipients are a unique subset of patients with multiple traditional and transplant-specific risk factors. This book will provide a summary of different problems, transplant physicians face every day while treating this complex group of patients.
