This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:. To determine the effects (i.e. health-related benefits and risks) of a gluten-reduced or gluten-free diet for the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease in the general population, including those at increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
