Employee performance is the result or success rate of employees in carrying out tasks accompanied by responsibility. Other factors that can influence the improvement of employee performance are work discipline and competence. Work discipline is a willingness and awareness of a person to obey the rules in a company. Competence is the ability and knowledge possessed by a person in doing a job based on skills. The decrease in employee performance occurs due to the incompatibility of the employee's educational background with his/her position. The lack of discipline of employees due to the presence of employees who are often absent, permits and illnesses that can interfere with the performance of PT employees. Nsantara II Plantation (Persero) Sei Semayang is a company that exports commodity products of plantations abroad. The research method used is quantitative approach, this type of research is descriptive quantitative. Data collection is done by interviews, questionnaires, and documentation studies. The data analysis used is multiple liner regression. The population used is all employees of 183 people. The sample determination in this study used saturated samples with a sample of 153 employees and 30 employees for the Validity Test. The results showed that work discipline and competence simultaneously and partially had a significant effect on employee performance with a coefficient of determination of 0.390 which showed that employee work discipline and competence influenced employee performance with a presentation rate of 39% while the remaining 61% were other factors not studied such as culture of organization, recruitment and training. The conclusion of this research is simultaneously and partially the discipline of work and competence has a significant effect on employee performance in PT.
