The application of multimedia technology in chemistry experimental instruction has its own features, namely enjoyment, great information capacity, sharing network, easy operation and flexibility. The paper concludes the superiority of applying multimedia technology to the chemistry ex-periment instruction from nine perspectives. Meanwhile, the paper elaborates its disadvantages. Simulated experiments cannot take place of real experiments. The relationship among teachers, students and multi-media needs to be dealt with properly, and the multimedia courseware should be scientific. Prospective forecast of multimedia technology in chemistry experimental instruction is also demonstrated.
