Abstract

At this time, it can be said that the available data obtained from amphibians and reptiles as regards the endocrine pancreas is consistent with the much more extensive data known for the metabolic effects of insuilin and glucagon in mammals. There remain, however, many unexplored facets of the specific responses of the pancreas and the target tissues in lower animals. ©1973 by the American Society of Zoologists.
