Abstract

In this paper, an intelligent control method based on a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) has been presented for an indirect matrix converter under abnormal input voltage conditions. The proposed FLC method is a closed-loop control of the output current, so the three-phase sinusoidal and balanced output current are assured regardless of unbalanced or distorted input voltage. The performance of the MC with the proposed FLC method becomes much better than that with the traditional PI controller. Simulation results are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed FLC method.
