The latest technologies capable of intruding upon the right to privacy have called into question the adequacy of the US and UK/EU legal frameworks and the fundamental principles of privacy. This article focuses on addressing the foremost threats to privacy posed by the following technologies: body scanners, public CCTV microphones and CCTV loudspeakers, and human-implantable microchips (RFID implants).
