Abstract

The occurrence of preeclampsia before 20 weeks of gestation is rare and usually associated with trophoblastic diseases or antiphospholipid syndrome. We present the case of a patient with severe preeclampsia associated with adult respiratory distress syndrome early in week 15 of gestation in the absence of the aforementioned disorders. Its confirmation was carried out through the use of biomarker sFlt-1/P1GF.
