Study on the Role of Jumantik Cadre in Decreasing Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever Cases in Panaikang Village, Makassar City

Abstract

Aim The purpose of the study was to find out the picture of the role of jumantic cadres in the decline of DENGUE cases in Rw/02 and Rw/04 Panaikang Village of Makassar City. Methods This type of research was quantitative research with  a descriptive approach, a population of 216 and a sample of 140 houses selected by simple random sampling technique  , namely random data collection using questionnaires. Results The results of the study, the implementation of RW / 02 counseling was carried out by 61 people (87.1%) and was not carried out as many as 9 people (12.9%) while RW / 04 was carried out by 59 people (84.3%) and did not carry out 11 people (15.7%). PJB RW /02 carried out 51 houses (72.9%) and less carried out 19 houses (27.1%) while RW / 04 carried out 47 houses (67.1%) and less carried out 23 (32.9%). PSN RW / 02 carried out 59 houses (84.3%) and less carried out 11 houses (15.7%) while RW / 04 carried out 55 houses (78.6%) and did not carry out 15 houses (21.4%). PJB and PSN are free rw / 02 as many as 11 houses (15.7%) and not free 59 houses (84.3%) while free RW / 04 as many as 7 houses (10.0%) while not free 63 houses (90.0%). Conclusion The conclusion of the 140 respondents to the implementation of counseling was carried out as many as 120 houses. PJB is carried out as many as 98 houses. PSN is carried out as many as 114 houses. PJB and PSN are free to  have format as many as 18 houses. It is recommended that P2P and Jumantik Cadres are expected to continue to carry out counseling, PJB, PSN to improve public health and free from DENGUE.
