ESCOLHA DO ARRANJO FÍSICO DE PRODUÇÃO: O CASO DA METALICES INDÚSTRIA METALMECÂNICA

Abstract

This case discusses elements for study and reflection on the adaptation of the physical production arrangement of production over time, in a joint venture in the metal mechanic sector. In order to meet the needs for the development of new products and processes, the linear physical arrangement has undergone several adaptations, creating a dilemma: how to lead change in the linear physical arrangement? The data for the preparation of this case were obtained through interviews, direct observation and secondary sources. The aim is to explore the process of change in the physical arrangement in relation to the operational and competitive demands of company.
