Pesquisa: a construção de novos paradigmas

Abstract

Superando deficiências do sistema de pesquisa científica e tecnológica, implantam-se, no Brasil, novos paradigmas de organização e financiamento na área. Neste quadro foi criada a Fapesp, uma agência inovadora de fomento à pesquisa. O artigo analisa a trajetória institucional desta Fundação, destacando seus principais projetos recentes.New paradigms of organization and financing are being introduced into the area of Brazilian scientific and technological research, successfully overcoming systemic deficiencies. Fapesp, an innovative foundation whose mission is to encourage research, was founded within this context. This article examines Fapesp's institutional development, highlighting some of the major projects in its recent history.
