Abstract

As with any new surgical procedure, the description of the related complications and its management constitutes a very relevant section. We have had the opportunity to include the expertise of a group of excellent international expert surgeons, who used to manage such a group of difficult situations. With the goal of making this exercise more comprehensive, we have divided them in several subsections, trying to include those which are especially important for the ophthalmologist: surgical complications and postoperative complications including sterile keratolysis, retroprosthetic membrane, infectious keratitis, glaucoma surgery-related complications, and vitreoretinal complications and management.
