Abstract

Epidemiology is the study of factors that determine the occurrence and distribution of disease in a population. In studying the epidemiology of diabetic retinopathy (DR), the literature is large and can be difficult for the clinician to mentally organize. To help in this regard, we note that reports generally display information in grids that are multidimensional. © 2010 Springer-Verlag New York.
