Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the truth statute of our practices and our knowledge. Our theoretical reference is based on Foucault's work; this questioning comprises both the discourses which have produced such institutions, and the very spatial distribution of these places. In particular, we question how these practices supported by juridical and scientific discourses may be producers of truth; however, here we will bring this truth into question, through its deconstruction. We problematize such questions through the experience of participating in hearings of youths in conflict with the law and that of visiting temporary commitment units at the "Fundação de Atendimento Socioeducativo" (FASE).
