Abstract

Schizophrenic neuropsychological disorders are increasingly a focus of interest in research. The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of a battery of psychological tests for detecting cognitive disorders in schizophrenia. The sample consisted of 20 schizophrenic patients evaluated with a set of neuropsychological tests, whose results were compared with those obtained from a group of healthy controls. The tests that best discriminated between schizophrenic patients and the control group were the Benton Test and the Trail Making Test.
