Abstract

Objectives: This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows:. Main objective. To assess the effect of pharmacists’ prescribing advice, compared to usual care or other forms of interventions, on healthcare professionals’ prescribing appropriateness, guideline adherence, and costs in community, primary care and hospital outpatient settings. Secondary objective. To summarise the principal findings from economic evaluations of these interventions.
