Third generation mobile systems

Abstract

This paper sets out to review the next generation of mobile systems, to explain the essential differences from the second generation (digital) systems and to look at activities on a world basis. There is currently much activitiy in this area as the UK, Europe and the rest of the world community have begun to recognise the opportunities of the mobile radio vision.
