Abstract

As the brain of CNC machine, the CNC system faces a great challenge in meeting various kinds of the demands. In the paper, model integration architecture for CNC system design and development is presented. Then, a CNC modeling language, naming CNCMoL is developed, in which the VFC methodology is used to deal with the modeling complexity, and get performance parameters and acquire reusability. The strategies for CNC metamodeling are described in detail. The approach is attempts to create an infrastructure to support the CNC system design in a swift way, at the same time acquire some advanced capability of the system such as modularity, flexibility, reusability, etc.
