Abstract

In this paper, we present an image re-coloring algorithm for dichromats according to the key color priority. The visibility of the deficient viewers forms a priority order of the key colors and is then used to separate the re-coloring problem into a set of smaller and proper sub-problems in turn. Moreover, our approach can preserve both the color contrast and naturalness efficiently and effectively according to the key color priority. Experimental results demonstrate the superiority of our method. © 2010 Springer-Verlag.
