Humans and the environment can not be separated from reciprocal relationships, the environment can affect humans and otherwise humans can affect how the surrounding environment. Environmental pollution due to coal activity caused various negative impacts to the surrounding community so that in this research the researcher want to see the description of emotional regulation on society affected by pollution of coal environment and the factors that influence it. This research uses qualitative research methods with interview and observation techniques. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in emotional regulation of people living in the same environment, namely the environment affected by coal pollution. The differences are caused by gender factors, experience factors and age factors. Someone who has a more mature and has more life experience has better emotional regulation when in a polluted environment.
