KESIAPSIAGAAN BENCANA TSUNAMI PESERTA DIDIK SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI GAROT LEUPUNG KECAMATAN LEUPUNG KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR

Abstract

Experts have found that tsunami disasters can repeat themselves and have cycles. This poses a serious threat to areas directly facing the ocean The problem formulation of this research is how is the preparedness of the students of the Garot Leupung State Elementary School, Leupung District, Aceh Besar District. The purpose of this study was to determine the tsunami disaster preparedness of the students of the Garot Leupung State Elementary School, Leupung District, Aceh Besar District. The population in this study was the students of the Garot Leupung State Elementary School with a total of 45 people. Samples were taken using the purposive sampling technique with a total of 20 students. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey methods to describe the level of preparedness of students at the Garot Leupung State Elementary School. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires. The data was processed using simple descriptive statistics. The results of data processing concluded that the preparedness of students at SD Negeri Garot Leupung, Leupung District, Aceh Besar Regency in dealing with the tsunami disaster in general was included in the almost ready category with an index score of 58.35. The highest index is the knowledge parameter, which is 66.5 in the ready category. Disaster warning has the lowest index of the four parameters, which is 39.4 in the less prepared category
