Spirlin - Alburnoides bipunctatus. The potential spawning period is very prolonged, according to our experiments a total of 15 weeks. At least some females have spawned several times during one season, i.e., multiple spawning is a feature of the spirlin. At temperatures below 12{\textdegree}C no spawning could be observed. A low T{\textdegree}C-cycle changes the multiple spawning modus into a single one. The spawning habitat is characterized by the stream velocity 0.4 ms-1 and substrates ranging between 2-15 cm in diameter with flow through interstices.
