Abstract

Worldwide, dental caries poses huge disease burden to human health, and it is especially true for less-developed countries. Related strategies have been discussed and advocated by WHO to incorporate its preventive measures into general prevention programs for noncommunicable diseases. Large-scale epidemiological investigations have yielded alarming data on caries prevalence in China. There are a huge number of patients in need of dental care. Then in later sections of this chapter, caries-preventive strategies and methods are further provided.
