The metric tracking of remotely located vehicles with earthbound tracking devices is discussed, particularly, the new technology for determining the distance between two vehicles located on the lunar surface while one vehicle is in motion with respect to the other. Theoretically the technique is attractive and, from a hardware point of view, completely practical.
