Abstract

All this eventually brings us, in conclusion, to the complex, never-ending and in re-globalization times more than ever enduring topic of religion and critique. This includes the even bigger question mark behind the interface between religion and irony. The views on and practices at this interface vary particularly strongly between open and closed, secular and religion-based systems and societies, including sharp differences between social strata, educational levels and policies. The polemics over the past years have included violence and terror as a premeditated response by religious fundamentalists.
