Abstract

The effective scenario characteristic parameters are the base of high fidelity training in various air traffic management simulation training system. The typical air traffic delay scenario was analyzed, and then the characteristic parameters system which described the scenario was constructed. A methodology was presented for setting up the model of the scenario characteristic parameters based on BP neural network, required delay scenarios characteristic could be generated for simulation when some important parameters were not given. By the data of Hongqiao International Airport, Shanghai, the model was validated excellent, and the delay scenario characteristic parameters generated were satisfied. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH Berlin Heidelberg.
