Abstract

In this essay, I discuss the implications of the transnational nature of Arab women’s online activism, exploring prominent examples and presenting three main observations and reflections that can be taken as questions for further research. This essay looks at the intersection of media, transnationalism, and women’s movements from a spatial feminist approach, and examines the opportunities and challenges faced by Arab women’s activism in counterpublic, mediated, and transnational spaces.
