Abstract

Industry 4.0 is the dawn of an era of data oriented and connected industrial processes. Education 4.0 is the need for way of preparing the next generation for Industry 4.0. The purpose of the paper is to identify, measure and evaluate the role of advanced and collaborative learning practices in education, collectively termed as Education 4.0 in building Engineers and Researchers of Tomorrow in fields of Data Driven Technologies. The paper analyses the three case studies of Remote Engineering in Manufacturing sector, Remote Labs in Academic Environment and transition of students from Remote Lab builders to Remote Engineering Framework builders. The key outcomes of the paper include mapping of common skills, impact of industrial work exposure and correlation between the two technologies This paper provides an insight into the various education technologies and their importance in Industry to facilitate modern industrial technologies.
