Abstract

ABSTRACT This community service aims to develop students' computational thinking skills through training and provide insight to teachers about computing-based learning in schools through seminars. The service was held on March 24-25, 2022 at SDN 1 Nagri Kidul, Purwakarta. Some activities of computational thinking training and seminars are: 1) Explaining about computational thinking concepts to teachers and students; 2) Playing games for built teacher and students's computational thinking skills; and 3) demonstration of computational thinking games and question and answer sessions for teacher. From the training, it can be seen that the computational thinking ability of 14 out of 24 students has improved after being given materials and missions. In general, teachers are satisfied with the discussions in the seminar. So, the community service is successful and has a good effect on improving of computational thinking skills in the elementary school environment.
