Cancer does not seem to be less frequent in people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) than the general population, but the neoplasms are different. In this chapter the trend for pediatric malignancy is described since the 1960s with now long-term effects of the treatment. Findings from several studies and trends are discussed. We believe that in the next decades cancers will become one of the leading causes of death during adulthood for this population and a combined multidisciplinary effort to anticipate this phenomenon is therefore needed.
