Abstract

In this paper, in order to weaken the corrosion property of ionic liquids and use it as vacuum lubricant, we coated the ionic liquids with some other liquid and tested their friction and corrosion properties using microtribometer and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The result is gratifying. Compared to the pure ionic liquid, most of the coated samples had a one order smaller scratch deepness.
