Abstract

This article presents the results of a survey carried out among more than eighty translation project managers. The aim is to define the competences that these professional need for their work. It completes the results of two previous studies that aim to develop a framework of competences for translation project managers. After the initial analysis of a corpus of job advertisements for project managers and a study of the teaching guides of Spanish universities where this subject is taught, this article takes as its starting point the information provided by the professionals themselves in order to complete the competences delimited in the two previous works and triangulate the data sources.
