Abstract

A 71-year-old man with history of distant inferior myocardial infarction with subsequent coronary artery bypass graft surgery and St. Jude mechanical mitral valve prosthesis initially presented with symptomatic ventricular tachycardia which was treated with amiodarone and implantation of an ICD. Now, several years later, he presented with ICD shocks for recurrent sustained monomorphic VT despite continued amiodarone therapy. He was referred for mapping and ablation of VT. © Springer-Verlag London Limited 2011.
