Abstract

The land resource is a multifunctional natural resource, which is in continuously growing demand under a background of rapid population growth and economic development. Land is involved in production activities and is traded in the factor market as a commodity. Alternatively, land uses change with changing human activities. It is necessary to estimate the effects of land system change to maximize the use of the land. In this paper, we describes the processes, parameters needed and operation of the estimation model, which will improve the ability of readers to use this model and provide a foundation for its wide application. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
