Abstract

The Green Revolution has begun globally. Starting in the international academic world as sustainable development and identified in California as one of the four key economic development areas [1], the Green Revolution began over two decades ago with the UN Brundtland Report. Sustainable development became known as the Green Revolution [2] and then to the general public through Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth winning both an Academy Award and a Noble Peace Prize in 2007. However, now the concept and meaning of green have been confused with clean, alternative, and nuclear power among other terms describing the solutions to energy and the environmental climate change [3]. © 2009 Springer-Verlag New York.
