Abstract

The aim of this paper is show the link between some ways of understanding epidemiology (modern epidemiology, american and european social epidemiology and latinoamerican social epidemiology) and some theories about social justice in a framework of two politics tradition: the liberalism and the critical theory of society, with the purpose to provide elements to the epistemologic, etic and politic discussion of the epidemiology as a scientific discipline.
