Abstract

Two new sterols, halosterols A (1) and B (2), have been isolated from the CHCl3 soluble fraction of Haloxylon recurvum, and their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic techniques including two dimensional-NMR. Both the compounds displayed chymotrypsin enzyme inhibitory potential. © 2006 Pharmaceutical Society of Japan.
