Abstract

In this paper we describe a smooth switching mechanism for enhancing the performance and low-waste traffic of distributed peer-to-peer video streaming. The mechanism was designed for when streaming topology set up a backup link and a predicted link to avoid being congested link each nodes. Furthermore this provides a Dominant Keyword procedure which enables to improve the performance of switching time for changing from a peer to another peer. Finally we shows an implementation design and discuss about an efficiency of this proposal. © 2010 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
