Abstract

It is important that marine targets, including ships, oil spill and aquaculture etc., are detected precisely, which face large difficulty because of complex varied marine conditions. New launched GF-3 SAR satellite could provide long time series of SAR imagery for marine monitoring. More useful information can be obtained through the special polarimetric approach. Joint sparse representation classification approached are proposed to marine floating raft aquaculture recognition based on GF-3 polarimetric SAR (PolSAR) datasets. Experiment results demonstrate the superiority of GF-3 PolSAR images on the marine target recognition aspect.
